Apple Dessert Bars

Preheat oven to 350*

2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 egg

Mix together in a medium bowl with fork. Place half into a 9” x 13” pan.

6 cups sliced apples
1 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts nuts

Mix these together in a large bowl until the apple slices are well coated. Place in the pan then add remaining crust mixture from above. Bake for about 45 minutes.

1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla or maple flavoring

Just add enough milk to the powdered sugar until you have a thin, smooth glaze.

Let cool and drizzle with the powdered sugar glaze while still warm.
